Aprons are all the rage and I think they can be quite fun! They don't have to be used just for cooking, they can be used for decoration or gardening. They can be used for quilting, sewing or crafting to keep all of your essentials close by and to keep all those threads off of your sweaters. They can be made in a couple of hours and they make great gifts! Sew... what can you do with an apron? That's the challenge! From now until June 30th, 2010 come in and pick out fabric to make an apron. I have many apron patterns from which to choose or you can design your own! Bring your finished apron back to the shop by July 31st, 2010 where they will be on display for two weeks. Invite friends/family to come to the shop and vote for their favorite apron! The fan favorite will win a $75 gift certificate to Quiltessentials!
Apron Challenge Rules: The fabric must be purchased from Quiltessentials to be eligible for the gift certificate. Fabric must be purchased by June 30th and the apron must be dropped off by July 31st. When you purchase the fabric, you will be given an entry form to complete. The completed form must accompany the finished apron. The aprons will stay on display until August 18th. The apron can be functional or a piece of art. It is completely up to you! I can't wait to see all of your fantastic aprons!

AuthorHi Everyone! My name is Melanie Barrett and I have been quilting for 15 short years now. I worked in a quilt shop for 7 of those years and I owned a quilt shop for the other 8. Recently I decided to close the brick and mortar store and concentrate on online sales. My favorite types of quilts to make are small and mini size. I don't have a favorite fabric style, I like them all. I find that my tastes change as I grow up! Splendid!Archives
